The description: In the Hermitage there is a first class collection of the Italian majolica of Renaissance. This collecting comparable to the best collections of Europe, was not exhibited earlier outside of a museum at so considerable volume. At an exhibition of Italian ceramics XV-XVI  from Hermitage meeting in the International museum of ceramics in Faentse (Italy) passing since June, 7th 2003 on January, 10th, 2004, the Hermitage has presented 125 magnificent products of XVI century, time of blossoming of the Italian majolica.
